Welcome.

No one knows your story, except for you. Some of us were born this way, and others purposely genetically mutated, either way; we’re different and we need to stand together. We’re not going to start a war with those that were born perfectly healthy. We’re not going to band together for specific rights, for we’ve all been created equal, defects or none. We’re not going to wallow in our sorrows because the rest of the world didn’t accept us, and we’re sure as hell aren’t about to try to change.

Everything happens for a reason. After a while of staying with us, you’ll some come to agree with this statement. After a while, you’ll learn that your ‘defect’ isn’t so much of an imperfection, but more of a blessing. Hopefully after a while, you’ll begin to believe us when us say that; ‘You’re finally home’…

[ ]Applications and Claims. (3 sub-boards)
So we see that you finally decided to register onto the board! That's a good thing, now, you're ready for the next step which would be to create your character. Within this forum, you will find the canon list, face claim, and of course, the application you will need to fill out in order for you to start roleplaying. This is one of the most important parts in joining our roleplay. All applications should be posted here.

[ ]Relationship Maps.
This board will have posts with relationships for a character, then another character would apply for those certain relationships. People use things such as lyrics, song titles, and things of their own creations for character positions. If confused just look at the threads already posted or PM one of the site administrators.

[ ]File Cabinet.
The applications get a bit wordy after a while, now don’t they? And besides, don’t you need somewhere to post a little more about your character’s charms? The BB File Cabinet is possibly the best place to read, learn and post a little more about characters without having to take any further looks at those rather lengthy applications.

[ ]Requests.
In need to spice up your character's role playing? Or do you've just got a really good plot idea? Post it here and I'll give you my input about it. Big plots need my approval before being allowed to role play. And sometimes even smaller plots. So run it by one of the administrators, just to be safe. A pregnacy is a plot, for your information.

Blackbriar University for Gifted Individuals
[ ]School Grounds.
The lawns surrounding the school - which are usually covered in snow most of the year. However, the pine trees and park benches make for a scenic traip around the beautiful, castle-like school. Most kids use the grounds as an open place to practice their powers.
00
[ ]Apartments.
Residencies for the children at Blackbriar who have no other place to live. Their individual apartments make up the vastness of the school. Each is a plain, oak-walled room with berber carpet, a bed, a dresser, desk and chairs, along with a small bathroom. Children are allowed to share rooms with each other; but never with the same gender.
00
[ ]Main Offices.
When you first enter the huge university, you have to pass the offices first. This includes the reception desk, resident nurse, and most importantly, the Headmaster's Suite - whether you're going there for trouble, or for good.
00
[ ]General Education Classrooms.
These are the normal school-rooms for learning things taught in human schools - like math, english, etc. but with a great emphasis on philosophy and smaller class sizes. The teachers are friendly or really wierd, but the classrooms are nice and most have large windows.

[ ]Combat Simulation Classrooms.
These rooms, located beneath the school, are the latest and greatest technology to simulate actual combat. Here is where kids learn to use their power when it really counts - like if a giant robot attacks a city. Of course, these rooms can be very dangerous, so students should always be with a teacher.
00
[ ]Hallways.
The crowded hallways across the gigantic schools. Only the older students and the teachers know about the hidden passages to the safe rooms and grounds - just in case of an attack on the school. There are a few lockers here and there, but most kids keep their stuff in their rooms.

[ ]Cafeteria.
This huge hall really puts the name "cafeteria" to shame. The cafeteria has grand vaulted ceilings, three long rows of oak tables and chairs, with a platform at the head where the teachers eat and keep an eye on things. Food is served at the back by gisgruntled cafeteria ladies. Get to lunch quick because the lines can get long. Food is only served to the table by the ladies on special occaisons.

[ ]Library.
The huge, two-level library is a wonderful room full of good books - old and new. There are also lots of good places to sit and relax, along with computors for personal use. Some sections of books are off limits to students without clearance; so if you get caught taking a peak in those books be prepared to face the consequences.

[ ]Student Lounges.
Across the school, since it's usually too cold to go out, there are large rooms for the students to chill out in front of a fireplace and watch the snow fall. Here are where the televisions are at for personal use.

[ ]Emergency/Laboratory Center.
Beneath the school, with the digital combat rooms, is the laboratory where the latest technology is used to detect hidden powers or to heal those without going to the hospital. It's all white with all sorts of creepy medical tools laying about. Only adults with clearance may enter.

Blackbriar, Alaska
[ ]Mount McKinley
BlackBriar's dynamic glaciated landscape supports a diversity of wildlife with grizzly bears, caribou, wolves, Dall sheep and moose. Summer slopes are graced with birds and wildflowers. Visitors enjoy sightseeing, backpacking, mountaineering, and research opportunities. Whether climbing or admiring, the crowning jewel of North America’s highest peak is the awe inspiring 20,320 foot Mount McKinley.
00
[ ]Town Square.
The beautiful town square, paved with the same gray stone tiles from when it was first built. It's more of a circle than a square, taking it's way around all the most popular shops and restaurants. The square itself has a pretty marble statue of two birds in flight; dedicated after the founding fathers. Around the square are holly leaves with red berries and little places to sit.

[ ]The Court House.
This is one of the oldest buildings in Blackbriar. The court house is where all the legal dealings of the town take place; including the meetings of the "Triage", or the three parliamentary figures of Blackbriar. These old stone halls seem to echo with every step.
00
[ ]General Lee's Coffee Shop.
General Lee's isn't any Starbucks, but it makes a fine cup of coffee and the best pastries in Blackbriar. The atmosphere is cozy and warm, and a great place to hang out and get some work done if home is looking too cold.

[ ]Silver Wolf Tavern.
This is one of the more popular taverns around Blackbriar. It's a lobby and open bar on the first level with rooms on the second and third. It's also the cheapest, and nobody asks any questions.

[ ]Main Street Shops.
On the busiest streets in quiet Blackbriar is where all the little boutiques and bazaars are located. Some of these places are really cute with good deals, while some are just really wierd and shady. However, you're most likely going to find exactly what you want around here somewhere.
00
[ ]Driftwood Apartments.
The Driftwood Apartments are another old stone and wood building. These are probably the cheapest lofts, but also are in very bad shape. However, if you can fix them up, then they can be quite nice with a semi-pleasant view of the city (if you get one in front).
00
[ ]The Pulse.
Pulse is a downtown club with a New York style. It's the latest addition to the city, and pretty wild. It has a huge dance floor, a bar, and a great stereo system. Everyone under 21 can get in without being carded on Thursday nights, when they don't serve drinks. But otherwise, you'll have to find another way to get in.
00
[ ]Flora's.
Daffodils, sunflowers, roses, tulips, orchids, oh my! They have every thing here, don't they? Special occasion, need some thing to give to that little lovely one? Then come here, this is the place to go. They have every single kind of flower you could imagine, and that's sort of a good thing. Good luck trying to pick which flower to give your special some one because it's a rather large collection. Well, that is unless they told you what their favorite flower is. Either way, come here, this is the main flower shop in BB
00
[ ]Town Houses.
For the more wealthy members of Blackbriar, are the townhouses to live in. These are located throughout the town, and are mostly little two-story buildings made of stone and wood. Some are nice, and some are in the bad parts of town.

[ ]Miracle Park.
Located on the south side of town is a park that was recently built by the city. There are plenty of trees and a duck pond. Walkways wind throughout the park and there's a childrens' playground at one end. Benches are scattered along the walkways, where people can sit and relax.

[ ]Orange Grove.
Can you say, o-r-a-n-g-e j-u-i-c-e? Then, yes, this is an orange grove. If you didn't know by now, oranges grow on these lush green trees. But, make sure not to get lost, it's sort of hard to navigate through all of the orange trees when there's so many of them. Be wary of stealing however, there's always some one around to watch you whether they're there or not. Sound scary enough? Okay, cool.

[ ]Shrieking Shack.
Once again, we say, it shrieks, it's a shack, hence the name...SHRIEKING SHACK. It's an old abandoned shack, broken wood, dirty, and dark. Even in the day time. Often the place of many child-ish dares.

[ ]East Hollows Cemetary.
The creepy cemetary on the edge of town, just near the black depths of the forest. Strange being often enjoy to lurk here in the solitude; it's best not to come at night, when the fog and shadows can be manipulated so easily.

[ ]Elkwood Forest. (1 sub-board)
The Elkwood forest isn't much of a popular place between any of the locals of BB. It's not understandable why though seeing as the forest is one of the most beautiful places in the entire Northern part of the community. Full of beautiful lakes, waterfalls, plants, wild life, everything. It has been said that if you go in, you will get lost and never come back. Maybe that could be the reason on why it's not visited often?
